With very strong winds (bad weather is the norm for Senior Club Championship Days)

the seniors made a grand effort to battle the elements and provide a very interesting

days golf.

In these conditons Tony Henderson returned a respectable score of 88 to become the

Seniors Gross Champion.

Runner Up was the Seniors Captain John Kitchen with a Gross score of 91 which gave

him a nett score of 75 and the Seniors Nett Championship for 2008.

Nett Runner Up was last years nett champion Mike Northend with a nett 78.

Senior Captains Day 2008

Senior Captains Day attracted 102 players who armed with sun tan cream, a variety of

fine hats, caps and shades and stocks of cold drinks enjoyed a great days golf. 

There was plenty to play for with a prize on offer at each hole and a two's club to

supplement the Team and Individual awards. A putting competition was also run throughout

the day for those who wanted a further challenge.

Thanks to the sterling work undertaken by all volunteers and senior committee members the

day was a qualified success.

The course in first class condition made it all a great summers day to remember.

 The event raised £551.00 for the Captain's Charity, "Buckinghamshire Mind".

Seniors Captain John Kitchen closed proceedings by confirming his gratitude and thanks

to all helpers and participants. It was a fantastic day, WELL DONE John.
