Welcome to prospective, new and existing members of the Seniors section of AVGC.
We have a full calendar of events during the year.
We play 13 home
and 13
away matches
during the
Summer. During
the Winter
we play
4 home
and 4
away matches.
Throughout the year
there are
a number
of “in house” competitions, medals and Stablefords. If anyone has any queries about competitions etc. please contact me or a committee member.
All our
matches are
open to
all seniors.
Team selection
is based
on willingness
to play,
not ability.
Ideally you
would be
selected for
at least
60% of matches
in
which you
ask to
play.
We have
weekly roll-ups
on Mondays,
Wednesdays and
Fridays throughout
the year.
Turn up
by 8.45
and join in,
perhaps have a drink and a snack afterwards. You will find us a very friendly group. Needless to say I am proud to be the Captain of such an amiable group of
people.
My chosen
charities for
the year
are Cystic
Fibrosis and
Social Link.
The latter
is based
in Aylesbury
and is
a centre
for autistic
adolescents Please support these charities whenever possible
throughout my
year as
Captain.
