Ask any member -- apart from the friendly atmosphere both on-course and in the clubhouse, the best thing about golf at Aylesbury Vale Golf Club is the policy of ‘roll up and play’. It means you don’t have to plan your life a week or more in advance, and you don’t necessarily have to fix playing partners before you arrive. Apart from the popular times early on Saturday and Sunday mornings, or just prior to a competition, there is rarely much wait for a tee slot. And if you don’t have a game fixed, have a word with Alan, Chris or Syd in the shop or clubhouse and they will do their best to find you playing partners

To enhance our membership structure we are limiting the membership to 500 full 7-day members. Our members currently enjoy the freedom of arriving for a game of golf without the requirement to book tee times. This level is the maximum number that we can accept to retain reasonable tee facilities for our members. Societies are not permitted use of the course at weekends. This means that you can spend your valuable time playing shots rather than waiting on tee and fairway for the group ahead.

Aylesbury Vale has become firmly established as a Members’ Club. We have three very effective Match Committees -- men, ladies and seniors -- organising a wealth of fun competitions. We provide golf and social activities in a relaxed and informal setting and positively promote a friendly club environment where all are made to feel welcome. New faces in the bar will find no shortage of members willing to accompany them to mark cards for handicap or simply enjoy a social game. Most clubs currently claim this friendly welcome -- but simply come and experience it at ‘The Vale’!

Our lady members have identical rights to men. The majority of ladies’ competitions are on Saturday and Sunday and so there is no need for the traditional midweek ‘Ladies Day’. The ladies membership grows every year and a 10-strong ladies committee produce no shortage of competitions, including many social mixed formats.

Our seniors meet at 0915 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They offer an ‘all welcome’ policy so roll on up and join in with them. It doesn’t matter if you have not yet actually joined the club, a warm welcome awaits if you want to sample a morning’s golf with them.

Payments can be made in full or spread over twelve monthly direct debits. Indeed, you can make any level of down payment you desire and spread the remaining fee over a year.
